Listen and you will hear its tales of adventure and spirit…
The Nipissing and French River regions have a rich historical and cultural past. For thousands of years before Europeans arrived, Aboriginal people used the river as a place to meet and exchange trade goods. Before Canada became a country, French voyageurs were paddling its waters — brigades of canoes portaged around rapids and waterfalls transporting furs from Canada’s great Northwest to market in Montreal. Because of its historic significance, the French River was designated a Canadian Heritage River in 1986.
Come experience “la joie de vivre!”. At Collège Boréal’s Explore Immersion Program, you will discover new regions. YOU will learn and live the French language and have a blast doing it, by participating in local French cultural activities, listening to French music, and creating your own francophone tradition and experience….You may even participate in multicultural exchanges where you reside in the state-of-the-art student residence. You will also experience the most renowned francophone activity of the year, la Saint-Jean-Baptiste!
Come and “Explore” Boréal au Nipissing… a celebration of pride and tradition! Join us in this “Land of the Voyageur” learning adventure.
