Explore offers a bit of everything! If you like music, culture, and celebrations…
Some of the participants’ favourite activities are centred around music, culture, celebrations, banquets, and themed weeks. For example, participants at Université Laval form friendships at an evening banquet, while students at Collège Boréal celebrate “La fête de la Saint-Jean” and attend a First Nation powwow. There is a two-week-long music festival at Centre linguistique du Collège de Jonquière, and a week of themed activities around Indigenous culture at École de français, Cégep de Trois-Rivières. At both Université de Sherbrooke and Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, students are invited to showcase their performance skills in a talent show. Participants at Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières can attend a Quebec-themed event with folk music, while those at the University of Victoria can try African drumming.
Past participants’ three favourite activities have been added to the Where to Explore page to highlight what makes each program special and unique. Check out that page before selecting your three preferred study locations in order to choose institutions that offer the activities best suited to your interests rather than choosing institutions based solely on their location.
Note: These activities can be optional or mandatory and may or may not be subject to fees.
