Am I eligible?
Many of you are asking us whether, given your unique situation, you are eligible to participate in the Explore program.
Here are some tips to keep in mind (provided that you meet all eligibility criteria):
- You are eligible if you are or have been a full-time student for at least one term between last September and next June.
- You do not have to be returning to school in the fall to be eligible. So, even if you have graduated or will graduate this year, you are eligible.
- You have to meet the age requirements by or on the first day of the program you wish to attend. For example, if you will be turning 18 years old on June 15, you can apply to 18+ programs that start on June 15 or later. Keep in mind that exceptions cannot be made (i.e., if you are turning 18 on June 15, and the program you wish to attend starts on June 14, you will not be able to apply to that specific program).
- You have to be at least 16 years old, and there’s no upper age limit. (Keep in mind, however, that classes, activities, workshops, and lodging types are designed for younger participants.)
If you aren’t sure whether you are eligible (if you are not sure if you are full-time or part-time, or how many credits or classes you need to be a full-time student, etc.), you can apply on-line, print your Declaration, and bring it to your school official, who will determine your eligibility.
